Danieth smirked slightly, "Just because i'm one of them, doesn't mean i have to stop hunting."

 

Bethany glares.

"You think you can trick me? I'm not going to fooled, Danieth. Prepare to die. Again."

Danieth backs off a bit and brings his fists up in a ready position, waiting for Beth to make the first move

 

Bethany readies herself against Danieth, grasping stake in her left hand, and sword in the other. She inches closer, ready to pounce like a cat stalking her prey.

Upon the ground lie the knife and the axe.

 

Danieth trews himself to the ground, grabbing some dust and trowing it into his opponent's face. Bethany stumbles back, surprised and blinded. Danieth grabs the knife and stabs Bethany's leg.

"I wish you no harm, Bethany"

 

Wiping the dust from her eyes, Bethany slashes at Danieth. He manages to back away from the strike, but the Hunter ends up with her stake touching the Vampire's chest.

A look of pain and hesitation fills her eyes.

"Neither do I."

She drops the stake and walks away, toward the Hunters' academy.

 

Danieth follows her, cautiously.

 

After walk for a minute or so, Danieth can see the city of Arcturus. A few lights flicker here and there, but most of the city is sound asleep. A great stone wall surrounds the city, for obvious purposes. A city gate, one of four or five, allows entrance into the city.

Bethany, not paying attention to the vampire, walks up to the gate, and meets with the guard.

"Rough day?"

Bethany does not answer, but only nods and shrugs. She enters Arcturus.

Danieth realizes that the guard will not let him in; he will recognize him as a vampire on sight. Of course, he could try to disguise himself, but he would have to be inside the city to get such materials. What an irritating situation.

Ideas
-Sneak into Arcturus, by of the tunnels outside of it.
-Ovepower the guard.
-Search outside of the city to look for a fellow vampire or demon.

Danieth realized the tunnels were probably guarded, and overpowering the guard would do no good. He decided he would have to search out another of the damned for help or supplies.

 

Danieth walks around the forest for a while. Nothing of importance happens for several hours, but he does not feel sleepy or tired. But then again, what kind of undead does?

Eventually, he can see a faint light over the horizon. He realizes the sun must be beginning to rise. Worse, an aching, a hunger has begun to rise in his stomach - one worse than a beggar could ever experience.

It is blood. Danieth needs blood.

Leaning against a tree, the vampire can eye a cloaked figure on the road. Perhaps this one will satisfy his hunger.
