I am a bit unfamliar with AD&D, so I was wondering if anybody could please tell what great druids are. How do they differ from normal druids?

    Thanks

IIRC, there are no "great druids" in BGII. And this is probably more of a AD&D question, so you should probably post in that section.

    Oh sorry. :o
But I know that if you play as a druid class,
and you reach the 14th level you can challenge the guy at the grove to become a great druid.

I became a great druid. The only difference I can detect is that my character sheet now says great druid instead of avenger.

I believe Great Druid status gives you control of the Druid Grove, making that your stronghold.

Great Druid is the title your druid achieves when he/she reaches level 14, and becomes the leader of a grove. He also gains some adicional abilities but I can't remember which (don't have the manuals near me).

When the druid reaches level 15 he becomes The Grat Druid. There can only be ONE level 15 druid in a campaign world.
