One of the files won't copy off my IWD2 disc 1... The file's called SNDsfx.bif. The following error message appears:

    Component: Minumum Compressed
File Group: Minimum Compressed - Language Independent
    File: E:bad:data2.cab
    Error: Incorrect Function

The CD is fairly old and has a few scratches...

Is my CD wrecked? Should I get a new one? Any help is very much appreciated.

[IMG] that sucks :( If you have another drive try using it to install the game. Like use the DVD drive instead of what you would normally use if you have something like that. It sometimes works for me. :p

Try it on another computer... if it gives the same error, the CD probably needs to be replaced. Alternatively, try copying that file from the CD to your hard drive. If it fails, you need a new CD.

On one drice, it has the above error, while on the other it says something about a cyclic redundacy check error, as mentioned in the topic 'problems with install'. According to that topic, this is actually something to do with the CD drive... I'm not sure, though. Maybe it's time to replace the CD....
