[IMG] Are there anyone who has played the game with one of those pre-made partys.

    Nope... :nono:

They're very well balanced and all, but...

I think one of the best part of the games are planning and developing your own team, thinking out tactics and "nurture" a character of your own...

    Pre-mades are spoilers... ;)

My 1st time through I played the Rose party. Overall I found it quite hard to play with for most of the game since I only had one good sniper (the rogue) with the paladin as the only real tank. Having only one tankable character is really tough especially when your healer for most of the game is a druid - a cleric would have made things much easier. Also, since the paladin was my only effective tank I had to concentrate on using druid summon spells as well as stock up on the other useful druid spells - at least until mid way when my wizard got animate dead and shades. The bard would have been more useful in a modified build and in a slightly different party. Though her songs were useful, her poor AC for most of the game meant that she often died real quick - and you need to be within 30 feet of everyone for them to benefit from your songs.

Much later on things are different. The wizard and druid pretty much handle everything.

I very much like making my own parties. So thanx but no thanx. Though I must say I haven't even looked at the premade parties.

I really don't like to play with names like " Halgren Dead's Hand or Blah Blah Ironfist or Blah Blah Shield Maiden"

I was thinking about playing one of them just for a challenge. But then decided if I want to be challenged, I'll just create my own messed up parties. : )

Of course, one could do hof mode for a challenge. Something about chickens with a billion hit points doesn't fly over so well with me though.

    TAL!!!!!!!!!!

My gosh! Between you and BTA, I don't know who's worse. Editing the first post, and not even replying!

[Why would we reply if we have nothing of substance to add? - BTA]

Anyways, nope. I've never played with a preexisting party. I would guess they are setup fairly decent, but I don't know what their stats are like. Their primary stats. I would expect you could roll better stats than that part, but I don't really know for certain.

[IMG] We need to edit the first post in order to edit the title of the topic. (Which is what all those edits are, fixing bad topic names.)

Anyway, I played the Annals of Halgren party in the beta and it was fun. You have all the parties listed on SP, of course: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/IWD2/parties.php
