[IMG] I'm not that far in, but I'm getting pretty annoyed by the three cloud things in Fell Woods. I think that they are the final quest for this part, but I can't defeat them. Also my cleric keeps getting 'energy drain' which completely wrecks him in about 1 minute! I was wondering if someone could tell me how to stop getting energy drain and if there is any particular strategy to defeating the ghost lights.

A very good idea is to have a Priest pray for Protection from Lightning, which will make this battle last and keep members of your party standing. The Will o' Wisps have an electric discharge that will shock anyone within a five foot radius and cause lots of damage to anyone not protected from lightning.Magic won't help you much here for the Will o' Wisps have a high resistance to the arcane arts. Concentrate all attacks on one Will o' Wisp until it is dead, then move on to the next. Do not bother running after one if it vanishes but concentrate all your attacks on another close by. Keep everyone together and when the one you were working on before returns, continue to attack it.

Summon a lot of undead (and cast every suport spell you have before entering the area)

Well, that was hard, but I killed them the melee way. Some buffs, protection from electricity would be in order, and a good deal of potions.

[IMG] Chev; What level are your party members? And what kind of weapons were you using?

*Tends to 1-2 party it, so is usually kinda high level*

I never had that much difficulty with the wisps.. BUt if they gave you Trouble, Becareful with the small army of Dark Treants!

I think you get some excellent boots in the Battle squares for just this sort of battle. Sure they'll only protect one character so use the wisely.

Boots of grounding = 6 protection against electricity.

protection from electricity (or something that gives the same effect)is key here.

you only need one or two melee types (ie, with high base attack ratings) and decent enchanted weapons. Just stay in one spot and whack them - it takes a while to kill all three.

You take Hell Bolter in Underdark.
The best way is protection from lightning and fulled up lightning attacks combined with haste and other stat+ spells from spellcasters(priests included)
