Description of this feats tells: dagger and short swords.

    This means no other weapons.

But according to 3e (IWDII has simplified implementation, NWN has better one):
    • weapon finesse works with lights weapons -> weapons that are one or more sizes smaller than a character (weapon are considered light relative to characters size), for example: character can choose rapier if they can hold it in one hand or at least medium size character can choose spiked chain (bigger character can choose from wider range of weapons)
    • while you choose weapon finesse you need to state in what type of weapon you will be proficient to use it (e.g. if you choose daggers, you cannot use it with short sword)
    • you can gain this feat multiple times - every time for another type of weapon

curses, the description said you use your dex modifier on weapons instead of "just small blades," though I gues I should have guessed since a prequiste was small blades....

i think the 3ed description is a little messed up becausee IMO any weapon but a great sword or pole arm should be considered light for a dwarf since they are so strong but maybe thats just me. o and vier its aoutomatic

weapon finesse is a passive skill, meaning you use it automatic. IIRC you get a bonus if you're a dualwielder and your lefthandweapon is a dagger.

Yes, in 3e weapon are considered light according to characters size and other properties.

But in 3.5e weapon finesse sounds different way: any weapon which you are proficient with could be used with this feat. My rougues will be happy.
