Whenever I try to use a portrait from the Portrait folder, the game crashes and I get this error message:

An Assertion failed in InfScreenCreateCar.cpp at line number 13045/13053 (I've had both numbers).

I've tried using Repair, and uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but neither has worked. I've also installed the latest patch, but that has not worked either.

    What else can I try?

    Thanks.

Uhm have you checked the portrait ? try another portrait etc, delete the one that might be causing the problem ?

I've tried them all. It happens with every one.

They're all portraits that have been downloaded from here.

EDIT: I've found out the cause of this problem. If the portrait I want to use isn't the precise size needed, 42x42 for small pictures and 210x330 for large ones, then the game will most likely crash. It doesn't always happen at this point, but it does seem to happen most of the time.

I don't know the technical reason for the crashing, but at least I know now how to avoid it happening in the first place.

For me, the game crashed if I chose the large portrait before the small one.
But if I choose small portrait first, everything functions smoothly.
