need help badly with Izbelah

hi all. can somebody offer some advice on how to beat Izbelah in the timeloop section of chapter five? i've got a Moon Elf wizard, a halfling rogue, a gold gnome cleric and a dwarven fighter and i can't do much more damage than maybe 8 (in total) to her before she gets the stasis spell off and we lose. how did you guys beat that part, did you find some way to dispel the magic shield or something?

 

Go the aggresive way, just keep pounding on her until she stops moving. After one hit the spell should be interupted, and she should stop and attack you.

 

pound her like how? i had everybody bashing away at her shield (including the wizard with Mordekainen's Sword/Tenser's Transformation on) and the dialog box says she's resisting huge amounts of damage. a guide i read suggested i use group haste, but i don't know that spell yet. aiiee!

 

All I know is that I just kept beating on her, on she died. Cast as many attack spells as you can. She should eventually die.

Cast improved Invisablity on your Rogue and have him run up and start pounding on her. For me the first spells she always cast were missle shield and seven eyes so don't be alarmed if your first few attacks are blocked. She'll then start casting summoning spells to get the Rogue off her, but since they can't see the Rogue the summoned monsters won't attack.

 

If she can't cast spells she can't.....um.....cast spells?

I found that sprinting the rogue to the left past the trap of falling rocks to talk to the Archon helps to save valuable time. When he takes you to the embassy get your cleric or druid to cast Insect Plague on her and pound away. She should not be able to cast the Stasis spell and you can smash her at your leisure.
