Well, last mainstream 2d? Probably. I think you can get some more 2d games, but they won't be produced by the big companies.

I just hope they make the 3d games good with graphics, instead of making me feel like I'm playing DukeNukem3d. :D

But that's easy talking knowing that I'll have a comp that can run games like NwN within two or three months.

Hang in there fellow "Computers of the Stoneage" owners! ;)

Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate or Fallout would never be so great in 3d(I hate polygons)

Well SoM, tastes differ. Right now 3d games are popular, because they're considered an advancement in graphics.

Isn't TOEE and the "Jefferson" Project in 2D with 3D characters, a la IWD2? I don't think that IWD2 is the last or even should be. It would be very sad to play something like BG2 3D, especially if you know of a game called Special Ops. Very hard to control more than 1 character in real time 3D...

There's nothing 3D about IWD2. The animations are all flat 2D on static backgrounds. Anyway, 2D games aren't going complately away yet. Lionheart's 2D, as far as I know. ToEE has at least the characters & animations in 3D. (Again, AFAIK.)

I really don't remember about "Jefferson", but it's certainly at least as much 3D as ToEE, if not more.

Urgahzi, if IWD2 is the best game you have, I suggest you pick up some of the older games. There were many good games before IWD2. IWD2 is nice, but hardly good in my book. BG1 and 2 alone are very much more worth it, and are just like IWD2 in 2d. Same for PlaneScape: Torment and IWD1.
