2 newbie-like question about iwd2

Q : does a weapon still have the attribute of speed-factor just like the 2nd dnd rules? if it does how can i find it?

Q : why my character often auto-pick the other weapon in the other weapon slot instead of his(her) main weapon that i want him to use.
i really KAN'T understand why they do that , what the factor make him auto-choose the weapon?

Err either your character was in a berzerk (or some such) state or i don't know

 

Your character should not auto choose the weapon. He should stick with the one he has selected untill you tell him to change. And yes weapons do still have a speed factor.

 

Try checking your characters' AI script. I have picked up the same problem and it can be quite annoying. Some scripts will always try to use missile weapons or the most powerful weapon. You could always disable AI and use the spacebar a lot more in combat.

but still don't know how can i know the speed factor of a certain weapon?
some heavy weapon with enchantment may have faster speed than normal ?

 

There is no weapon speed listed when you right-click on it in the inventory.
You've got weight, damage, attack bonus, feat requirement, but no speed...

i thought 3rd edition didnt have weapon speeds - is this something blackisle have not implemented?
