enemies that require enchanted weapons to hit

    [​IMG] Is there any way of finding out what level of enchantments are required to hit a particular enemy or get around the damage reduction? My experience is that a monk does not do well because his fist often fails to do any damage against the better enemies. With BG2 there were good guides as to what types of enemies needed +1 / +2 / +3 and +4 to hit. How about for IWD2?

    [​IMG] As a rule of thumb, I always assume each enemy requires a +5 weapon to hit. I've never been disappointed. ;)

    Boy, when you start hitting chapter 5 and 6, everything takes +1 or +2 to hit. Abshi, wyverns, guelons.

    Your monk is really, really useful up until about chapter 4. After that, you're going to have to be equipping and unequipping weapons from him.

    As for the specific weapons needed, it's most likely pretty consistant. There are D&D rules running across all these games. They may not be exact, but there's some thing that translate pretty close.

    You could turn on the more feedback option and then watch the message window to see when they resist damage and experiment with different weapons.

    do they become more enchanted in easy, normal, hard, insane, HoF ?

    Since I just started HoF after beating the game on normal only once, I notice no difference. Maybe it's the fact that I have +4 and +5 weapons for everyone.
