Hello ...and Patch Question

    Ive found these boards quite informative. So much so that Ive started several parties after reading how different people crunch the numbers differently..LOL the curse of this game.

    My question...I bought this game off the shelf this week, as it was packaged woth IWD. Is Seeing how this is an older game and BIS is out of bussiness, is there anyway to get the patch still?

    Everytime ifind a link for it its dead. Am I out of luck?? Or just not looking in the right place?

    I've occasionally heard of other fixes with minor issues. (Like when my monk started out at 5000 xp, and needed to get to 10000 to level up). Can these kinds of patches be applied to the game in advance so they will work in future games?

    Hi Black_Tear, if you bought IWD: The Ultimate Collection (with IWD1,HoW,IWD2 and the bonus discs), like I did then there is no need to patch the game. It is already patched to it's highest official version. However you will still want to patch to all the other unofficial fixes on here. As far as i can tell myself you can use all of the fixes just fine with the game and each other.

    Thanks for the replies.

    I did buy IWD2 bundled with IWD1. I want sure weather it was patched or not. However I was having several problems with charm spells. I patched it and I had no problem.

    I also downloaded some mods wich improved gameplay. But I guess that depends on who you ask. The link is here

    Be warned...I installed the Targos mod that adds undead to Targos for a bit more of a challange. I was happy as hell till I I couldnt continue due to an animation script error that kept crashing my game. Everytime I tried to enter the goblin infested warehouse after unlocking the door my game would crash to desktop stating I had a linecode error. Needless to say I couldnt progrees the game. I ended up having to uninstall and the reinstaling everything. I wont be adding Targos mod this time.

    But the other 2 mods improve the game greatly. Including improvimg deep gnome start exp amoung other things
