I Have a Multi Class Wizard 2/Fighter 4 Character. When Right Clicking on Newly found Spells, it gives an option to Write Magic. When Clicked, I Get "you failed to copy the spell to your spell book". Why do i get this message?
    Thanks again.

There is a chance of failure when you write a scroll. The higher your INT, the smaller the chance for failure. Also, IIRC, the higher the scroll level, the greater chance of failure. Check out Information in your character record and read about INT.

Finally, please read our Forum Rules at http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/rules.htm especially the part about signatures.

There is no chance of failure, you just have to got a INT sore of 10 + level of spell you wish to cast. I would call it rather a bug or maybe this occured because you were an armor.

The skill "Arcane knowledge" or something improves you'r identify skills...

And identifying spells that are above your current spell level, would also prove difficult...

    ;)

PS: Don't put you'r nick at the end of your post... It'll get the moderators angry...

I think you might want to improve your "Spellcraft" skill, which in the description does say it helps wizards to scribe spells.

Yup! I agree with the wise guy. I had a thief/wizard who failed to write 1 spell after writing 2 others of the same level and after that my char was able to write a higher level spell...

In Baldur's Gate 2, under "record", you could see your percentage chance to scribe a spell successfully. At INT 25, that chance was like, 110%. At INT 18, it was like 90%.

Under IwD2, the last time I looked through a walkthough, it was a function of your INT and Spellcraft. I don't remember the specifics, but if I had to guess, you have to have the 10+ for your spell level. So, a level 8 spell takes 18 INT.

    Who is the wise guy?
    *Who? Who? Who? :D

My sorcerer has good arcane knowledge, so I haven't failed identifying items... As for writing spells - the sorcerers can write, do they? Because every time I click, it doesn't give me to write it?

So if you want successful writing of a current scroll, low as much as possible the difficulty in the game... There won't be failure, I assure ye. :)

    Elan.

Sorcerers can use any scroll but can't scribe them into a book of spells...
