[IMG] Hiya all, new to this forum(well I've been looking at the posts here for a week or so but never posted). Anyway, enough of my silly mumbling. I am makeing a Drow Fighter, dualing him to ranger at 10 for about 6 lvls then 1 barbarian lvl(ok ok, I know this is drizzt but he is my own little drizzt!) But my prob is the stats. I made him 13 str 18 dex 13 con 12 int 12 wis and 12 charisma, and I gave him Ambidextirous + two weapon fighting feats. Can I get some pointers from anyone? I've beat the game twice in 2 different parties, but still is fun hearing you guys and gals respond. Thanks.

Oh btw, with that high dex should I use that Weapon Finesse? Going to put points in Large weapons and Bastard swords aswell.

Don't forget to take into account the maximum single level difference (unless you take the 20% hit for experience) for a three-class multiclass. According to the rules, the favored class doesn't count for this restriction.

Also, according the the rule book, when adding the class, ranger, you get the ambi and two-hand feats free. Why buy them?

I have also completed it twice. Did you have the problem with the experience point max?

Experience point max? During my 2 times of beating the game all my chars ended up at 16, and in HoF mode they get pretty good XP from the goblins. Not completly sure tho. Around 1200 XP pr. goblin... I think.. So after HoF mode I bet my party would be around 30ish.

But then again I use the mode that gives me XP from everything I slay, nice for when slaying hordes of low lvl enemies. ;D

Ah yes, true true... I get those two feats free. Silly me! Thanks, time to "edit" my Drow Fighter abit then..

Is this character going to solo? Which play mode?
    (normal/hof)

In any case I'd suggest getting any single level classes sooner so you can use them longer.
I'd definitely give him Weapon Finesse and high Dex so he can dual-wield better and get high ac. Expertise? I don't know. He already will have -2 attacks. I'd say yes if in HoF, no if in the normal mode.

Why a level in Barbarian? is it the extra 12 HP that you get from taking that class? I'm just curious about this.

[IMG] One level in barbarian, because

    1. it gives rage ability.

    2. Drizzt has one level of it in DnD FR Campaign Setting :D

I had forgotten that Drizzt had a level in Barbarian in the official literature. That doesn't make much since really: why would a Drow from Menzoberanzan have any training/experience as a Barbarian. True, he had been exposed to Barbarians (Wulfgar and others) but that doesn't logically explain why he would have a level in that particular class. I don't know, maybe I'm being too technical (which wouldn't be a first.)

Maybe the Barbarian level comes from Drizzt's time in the Underdark as the hunter when he was forced to rely on his instinct and resourcefullness to survive.

I am not sure, but would 1 lvl of barbarian be good? or should I put one lvl in something else?

Why would you want the level in Barbarian? the only advantages would be 12 extra HP and the ability to rage. Other than that I see no real advantage to doing it. Besides, taking a third class will count against your total level limit.

Well, Barbarian Rage would be rather fun.. And that XP stuff wont matter much will it? As I can play the game over and over and over and over again with the same char to make him 30?
I just wanted to make my veryown Drizzt-type character as I always liked Drizzt, but didnt want to be EXACTLY like him, just a distant cousin or something. And as I read Drizzt is a Fighter 10, Ranger 5 and barbarian 1?
Or so? I just want a dark elf wielding dual Bastard / Large swords, with a few helpfull spells, a diplomat, stealther with chainmail. Is that to much to ask? :D

Anyway, to make a really good dual wielding Drow with a few spells, and nice feats, how should I make him?
