Hi Folks, Here's my newest party, any input or suggestions would be nice

1 Aasimar sorcerer, main speaker, has 20 cha, 18 int, unfortunately cant take alchemy... switches with 4 in combat

2 Shield Dwarf Paladin 8, Fighter x, takes the Paladin levels for aura and fiendslayer feat, along with heroic inspiration etc. anything past 8 paladin levels would be a waste to me.

3 Half-Orc Barbarian 20, Fighter 10, Fighter levels for feats, Barb levels for tireless rage and the other improvements

4 Aasimar Silverstar of Selune. Standard cleric, has nice elemental legion spell at 9, switches with Sorcerer in combat

5 Wild Elf Druid, This one could definetely be changed a bit, but she does have a few good spells.

6 Drow Rogue, This one works well, has 20 Int and Cha, She takes up Alchemy from the Sorc, but a bit too slowly for when you need it in the underdark, shes a very good ranged attacker, however can a rogue sneak attack with ranged weapons, I know they can in Neverwinter Nights, im just not sure.

I've completed the game already once in normal, but I didn't judge that party to be good enough to proceed to heart of fury, this one was supposed to be better but I can already see a few faults in it. As before any help would be nice

    You could try:

    1. Make your pally/ftr an aasimar (to benefit from the extra CHA).

    2. Unless you really want a Silverstar, how about making #4 a dwarf Battleguard of Tempus (wpn focus Axe is nice, and dwarves and axes just go together so well).

    3. Unless it's a role-playing thing, you might as well make your druid a human--the extra feat and skill points might come in handy. Maybe even give her 1 level of ranger.

    4. Make your Drow a male rogue/wizard multi to take advantage of high INT and DEX.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, as it's been a while since I've run a 6-person party. I prefer solo or dual myself...

That's a pretty well balanced party, although I would prefer to go with only 5 members by multiclassing the Rogue with someone else. In HOF, magic is of most importance so your two tanks might struggle a bit, but, as always, given that it is possible to solo this game, any party should be OK.

you will have a hard time in HOF with that party!

much to melee-heavy and not one efficient MC-build!

don't think that you will beat HOF that way!

So no, ranged weapons cannot be used for sneak attack.

    MC=multi-class.

I left out a few things from my last post.

For your tanks (paladin and barbarian), use a max of 4 levels of fighter--this will allow for weapon specialization and, if you want it, maximized attacks.

Your main casters (the sorcerer and the cleric) should stay single-classed. For both, raise their Spellcraft to 10+ as soon as possible so that you can buy the elemental feats.

If you make a rogue/wizard MC, you probably won't need more than 8-10 levels of rogue.

If you don't mind a Lawful Evil character, dump the druid and take a Monk of the Dark Moon/sorcerer MC. Level him/her at a 2:1 ratio, your option as to whether you want monk or sorcerer to be higher.

    - the best mix-in for sorc are 2 early paladin levels (you will get awesome saves & have immunity to fear)

    - the best MC-builds have ~20 caster levels and take the remaining 10 levels as rogue (3), fighter (2 or 4), monk (3), barb (2 or 3) or paladin (2 or 3)

    - if you decide to take 4 fighter levels add (3 monk level if lawfull & high WIS, additional 3 paladin levels when also high CHA - 3 rogue levels and 3 barb levels if not - this results in a 20 - 4 - 3 - 3 MC-build

    - if you decide to take only 2 fighter levels you could add one more class and go for a 20 - 3 - 3 - 2 - 2 MC-build

    - as the major class (~20 levels) should be wizard or cleric - drows (m/f) are the perfect race for these builds (most powerfull race & no EXP-penalty!)

    - you could always skip one additional class to add more levels of your major class - but the benefits of having much more then 20 caster levels aren't that great!

    - exception: I would take one pal 2 - sorc 28 and one pal 2 - monk 3 - cleric 25 to get through SR, have better damage multipliers and for special spells like dispel and lower resistance

    - there are a few other good MC-builds leaving the main concept:

    - druid 21 - bard 9 (diplomat / party-support / shapeshifter)

    - wizard 19 or 20 - rogue 10 or 11 (rogue / spellsword / 1st arcane back-up caster)

...but both only as 5th or 6th party member especially the last one!

    hope this helps!
