Help Me Create Items

    I have been playing BG BG 2 etc for years on and off, I'm ok on computers, but not a whizz and I don't use forums so you know i'm desperate. I have recently turned to the dark side (cheating) I can get enough gold to last me forever and i can kill instantly ctr & Y ( so good) but I cannot create items, I have tried two sets of item codes off this site and cannot get them to work, it says - error no file, (in consule) am i doing something wrong?

    Welcome to the boards err... magpie! Always nice to welcome a fellow lover of carrion & shiny things. :p

    Are you using "vanilla" SoA? If so, then some of the items you are trying to import may be from the expansion, Throne of Bhaal. If so, you'll find yourself out of luck, because the game will - as you say - be lacking the right file. Either that, or you're forgetting to capitalise the item code. All cheats in BG 1&2 are case-sensitive, so that may be the problem. Although, if you've managed to CLUA yourself more gold, you should already know that. :heh:

    It is CLUAConsole:CreateItem(''ITEMNAME'') so check out! Be sure that the item you want exists in your game, like trying to get a ToB ONLY item to a SoA ONLY game will NOT work! (but ofcourse you know this already?)

    PS:DO NOT cheat! It corrupts! I only cheat for travelling in a dungeon for short time ONLY I am sure there are NO enemies, traps etc. around. OH and use SK to edit my PC's appaerence a little bit.

    Here's a code that you can try - post back if it works or not, that way we can help you some more.

    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("SCRL75")

    You should have an Identify scroll in your inventory - or somebody's if your pack is full.

    Dan Simpson's Item List (7th from the bottom up) is the one I use for my CLUA codes.
