First, I was just wondering what the pretty much best weapon is for each class, or if there's a site that says the absolute nicest equip that would be cool too.

Then second, is there any way to resize a portrait so that it actually fits your Icewind Dale 2 normal portraits? I've used ones from like http://havak.db-forge.com/ but none of them are the right size and only take up about 1/4 of the portrait screen. (And all the one's I've downloaded in the big packs just don't really have the look I'm looking for).
    Thanks

[IMG] Weapon for each Class? You must be joking. You can't base the perfect weapon on a class, since each class is varied (skills, feats, etc), and add into the mix the fact that different races have different weapon profeciencies.

A Rogue for example, would be good with a short sword, plus the Weapon Finesse feat. But an Elven Rogue would be better off (starting at least) with a Large Sword, since elves get proficiency with them for free. A Half-Orc Rogue however, would rather use a Club, Flail or Large Sword methinks, it's all about your opinion.

Also, look at what Feats your character has. If your character does not have the Bow Feat, then clearly you shouldn't give him/her a bow.

However, if you go for the Cleric that has profeciency with axes to start with, then obviously you'll choose axes.

As for the portraits, I use Photoshop from Adobe (you can download a trial I'm sure), but PaintShopPro works just as well. Or heck, just download IWD2 sized portraits.

    Hope that clears ya up.

    [IMG] Another thing you might want to consider;
    Power, Or Speed!

This is rather important, and you may wish to work your feats around this idea.

Having your half-orc barbarian be a powerhouse, Not a bad idea.. Giving him a nice large Axe, some thick armor, and perhaps those every useful Indomitable bands.

On the other hand, giving your tiefling/or elf rogue a sweet lil short bow might not do as much damage, But with say.. Rapid fire, you could be launching out a few arrows a round..

Just don't get confused, and give your 20str half orc a leather tunic and short bow, and your tiefling rogue a greataxe +5 with the mithril field plate.. LoL. Cheers! :D

    Lol ok thanks.
Right now I think I got for my half orc barb some balor plate, and he's using some axe that has +6 + other stats, forget what they are though.

Drow rogue is using one of those charged short sword of wounding +5's, and an assassin's blade with I think it's called silent interloperarmor.

Drow fighter has a Golden Heart sword in offhand and a dykhast longsword +5 in main and he wears air genesi gail armor and diamond cutter armor, don't know which is better.

Druid has the better one of the 2 monkey hand maces, can't remember what cleric has but it's pretty OK, and then I gave my sorcer a wyvern's claw.

Does that equip sound pretty good, or are there better weapons that could dish out more damage for those classes that I'm missing? (I know it sort of depends on how you play your char and all that) but I wanted to see if there was something like the really good paladin sword that's like +10 for other classes if that makes any sense.
