It's me or the Dragon's Eye is boring?

Yes... Dragon's eye is better in original IWD. In IWD2 it is annoying and confusing.

Kuldahar and its valley were good in IWD2, but other areas (yes, there are still more) from IWD1 are not.

[IMG] It gets much worse after the 1st floor. That one's quite OK. But the time loop in the lower levels is such an incredible design failure in my opinion that nothing in any other IE game beats it. It is unbelievably confusing, and some parts of it expect you to do such totally uncharacteristical things for IE games (like following the giant king around for 5 minutes until he decides it's about time to attack you... That is, if his script doesn't go haywire at some point before that...) that it makes solving this part without a walkthrough to explain what's going on there practically impossible. That is, short of doing random things for hours until you happen to find a solution. I don't know, I got the feeling down there that someone wanted to make a classical adventure game with that level. Total miss as far as I'm concerned. Luckily this is the only such area in IWD2.

[IMG] YAY! *isn't the Only one that totally hated that Time Loop Thing* OMG, that was the most horrible thing EVER.

I have gone through the game countless times, and that part Still takes some Time To get through..

It wouldn't have been so bad if you went in, killed stuff, went back in time, FOund out about the Lord's Death, how it happened, and what King Lothar did, Then came back through ONCE more and Fixed it all.. But now.. they take you through Multiple time.s.

    *Sigh* Sucked..

Yes, what were they *thinking* with that damn time loop thingy, I didnt even twig what was going on until I looked online- the whole thing was made needlessly complex

As for all the ziggurat potion mixing with the moronic D'hey Jazzerion or whatever his name was...

I didnt particularly like Dragon's Eye in IWD1, it just goes on for too long, and all the trolls and spiders just serve to make it even more tedious

I just finish the Dragon's Eye (thanks god) and for now is the worst part of all the game. It's very confusing, the guy of the plant (the one of the prison) moves all around the map, and find
the two types of plants, and then make potions, and then swift the plants, make poison with wyrms claws, bla...bla...bla...

I think the designers got bored with Dragon's Eye. I mean, they even reused the same map from the first game instead of designing something new. And the bit about finding the correct weed just had me tearing my hair out in tedium.

Well, with respect to the maps, you wouldn't expect the place to change all that much in thirty years...

It's a lazy way to do a game though.

"Let's design a whole new set of maps."

"Nah, let's just reuse the ones from the last game. Saves us doing any real work."
