Boots of Speed Bug?

    [​IMG] When I equip the boots of speed (there are no freedom of movement items equipped nor spells in place), the Haste icon does not show up in the PC's individual or group profile screens.

    Nor does the PC move at the speed of the PC who has the Heart of the Golden?? sword.

    Is this a bug or can it be corrected?

    Maybe because the Boots of Speed are not the same as Haste. Haste provides more benefits, whereas Boots of Speed simply make you walk a bit faster.

    That's a very strong possibility. However, the Boots of Speed in Baldur's Gate II acted the same way as the Haste spell.

    Also, the PC is not moving any faster whether or not the Boots of Speed are equipped.

    AFAIK boots of speed only have the effect of dash *not* of haste !
