[IMG] You know the amulet that you can get in Dragons eye that you take back to Kuldahar? It's the one where you click on the graves until the sword appears (sorry, can't remember what it's called. Told you I have a bad memory!)?

Has anybody got any ideas for beating the 7 people that appear with the sword? I managed it once and found the sword really useful when I got to severed hand.

I'm finding it really difficult to defeat them now, I've had to re-load about 90 times!!

Any help would really be appreciated xxx

The medallion is called Cera Sumat and the sword is called Holy Avenger (at least what I remember, got a bad memory too). As for the tip, well if you've got mages then blast away just be sure to buff your characters first with priest spells your mages can live with mirror images, improved invinsibility helps a lot too.

Seven people? I thought there were inly four, at least as I recall.

Six. There are six of them.
    And they aint priests either.

They are dead. So use the Mace of Disruption and Hammer of Lucerene to blast them. Spells like Hold Undead will also be useful. Ensure these guys are busy with summons while your Improved Invisibled and StoneSkinned guys are trying to beat 'em up.

Summons! Lots of high level summons are really useful. While they might not kill any of the six, it will keep a couple occupied.

Also, a MUST is take out the archer of the six. He'll cut you to ribbons if you dont, and he's relatively easy to kill.

The hardest are the monk, and the other tank. Try to leave them to last, and kill the other 4 as quickly as you can. Then focus on one of the remainder. I'd recommend the other to the monk, as the monk is time consuming.

    *minor thread necromancy*

Summons deal quite easily with the spellcasters and the archer. But those fighter types...hrr. Harder fight for my solo sorc than the final battle.

I recall one of them resisting all magic, and one resisting about all physical damage. So I went summons for the casters/archer, then blasted horrid wilting to kill those fighters not too resistant to magic, and then had to go toe to toe with the bad ass meleer. Took a lot of mirror images, but I beat them. Too bad the sword was useless for me. Sold it, but 30k gold don't feel anywhere when I had million stored all ready. Gold is cheap in IWDs me thinks :bad:

As I mentioned, paladins are the only class that can use it. And paladins have to be LG.

Only paladins can use it. IIRC that is the only restriction.
If you are using the no alignment restriction component of ease-of-use, who knows.

I would rate this as possibly the hardest fight in the game. I concur with the above tactics - lots of summons and take out the archer guy first. Haste is pretty useful to ensure you can employ hit and run tactics on the melee guys, if you get really stuck.

Self-buffing is the key. If it helps you, protects you or reduces damage, cast it or use it now, because this fight can get ugly.

Stoneskins and Haste are really helpful here (well, in Normal mode!), as are summons to take the heat off you. Just remember to read the amulet before you actually get ready to fight - it will give you some hints as to how they were killed the first time, and what may be more effective against them this time.
