    As far as know;

    Arcane spell casters are:
    Bards
    Sorcerers
    Wizards

    and

    Divine spell casters are:
    Clerics
    Druids
    Paladins
    Rangers

    So, if I cast a spell with my wizard than there is a chance for casting failure if I wear armor but if I cast the very same spell with my druid than there is no chance for casting failure?

    Patron Deities grant their servants (Druids, Rangers, Paladins and Clerics) the ability to wear armor while casting divine spells. Since Sorcerers, Bards and Wizards 'tap' their spells from an Arcane source, and not from a divine power, there's a chance of failing while wearing armor.
    You can reduce this chance by choosing the feat 'Armored Arcana' by 5% each time to a maximum of 15%. Needless to say, you better save your feats for different things and don't wear armor as an Arcane Spellcaster. ;)

    As you probably know:
    Armor is not the only factor that could fail a spell. You still need a nice concentration check while being hit when casting a spell and you can't cast some spells indoor or at certain creatures.

    Thank you all. Now I know that my druid will never fail when casting "Flamestrike" or alike. :D

    [IMG] Master of Nuhn, although you are technically correct there is a flaw in what you said. Deity's do not grant their spellcasters the abilty to wear armor while casting spells, it is in the fact that divine spellcasting is different from arcane. Arcane spellcasters, Wizards, Bards, and Sorcerers draw their spells directly from magic, their hand gestures are used to manifest the spells and any errors in their movements caused by wearing armor causes their spells to fail. Divine casters on the other hand simply draw their magic from their gods, or nature in the case of some Druids and Rangers, and the spells are cast through them by their gods, their hand gestures mean little or nothing. Just thought I'd clear that up. :D

    Peleran, how do you know that you're right about this? Just curious...
