    [​IMG] Can't get this door open from any direction, either the Lightning machine or down the stairs from the painting. Once I go down the stairs I can't open the door from the inside. It continues to say the door is warded against simple spells, so knock is out of the question and my rouge can't pick it and the lightning machine can't open it. What am I missing?

    If you use the stairs to get inside, you should notice that there are two doors in that room. One leads out (that's the one that says Embrace the Shadow) and the other leads further in. That one is covered by a large shadowy demon image. To open the first door, have a character stand on that shadow image.

    Then you can use the lightning gun to open the shadowed door.

    From what I remember the character on the shadow was electrocuted and for a short time he could then open the door that says embrace the shadow, then by poining the lightning gun north you could open the door to the altar
