[IMG] What do we lose if we don't complete/play the battle square? And if we do play it, which character is the best to play with?

Completing the Battlesquare challenge isn't necessary to finishing the game, though it is definitely rewarding.

To find out about the rewards, and approaches to completing it, look for the thread started by Kingsgambit.

    P.S. could also be Kinggambit

You *have* to play at least one level of it, which isn't much, only three fights (I think? It's bloody confusing) This will get you the key to Oria's room

The rewards are *well* worth it, you get a small reward, usually a gem or some money (which adds up!), and after you complete a rank you get a *very nice* item. Here are the rank 10 and mastery ones:

    Rank Ten Prize:
    Brilliant Short Sword +5
    Damage:1d6 +5
    Attack Bonus: +5
    Damage Type: Piercing
    Special:
Brilliant Energy: All attacks ignore targets shield and armor bonuses.
    Feat:Small Blade

Battle Square Mastery Grand Prize, if you beat every Lever Rank
    Bracers of Icelandic Pearl
    Armor Bonus:+4
    Dexterity:-2
    Special:
Can cast Lesser Planar Binding: Water Elemental 1/day
Can cast Cone of Cold 1/day
    Can cast Horrid Wilting 1/day

I got mastery using a lvl 9 Elven Fighter with buffed up dex and three points in bows. Using an everlasting arrow and haste, she'd let the bugger get close then run, pelting it with arrows. Worked great, though I changed my strat after the sixth rank (you'll see why)
