Yes, I've searched the forum already to get help with this quest and I've read everything that I've found. It didn't help me.

Thorasskus won't go hostile. He just keep on looking like a little kid. I've talked to the wizard in the library, or rather tried to talk to him, but he's apparently busy and won't talk to me.

I've searched the entire level after missed monsters, found none.

    What to do?

try resting. Then leave the game running for about 5 mins and then try. Not sure if that will help, but it might.

I haven't played IWDII for quite a while but try having different characters talke to him. IIRC you get a dialogue choice to expose him.

Some dialogues in Icewind Dale II are slightly different depending on your speaking character's Intelligence rating (cf. Veira if you take the evil path, or Nathaniel in Dragon's Eye). A smart character (Intelligence 15 or greater) can sometimes get more out of a conversation.

Also, the persuade and intimidate skills will help you get more out of conversations.

    I don't have a paladin, so that won't work.

I've tried attacking him when he's still a kid but that doesn't work either. He's still having a blue circle, so to speak.

And with the wizard, it's not about having options with things to say to him. He doesn't wanna speak with me at all. He says that he's busy bla bla bla and I only have the option to say "Farewell.."

If that yuan-ti loving idiot isn't still talking to you, try sleeping.
Once he has spent enough time in the library he identifies the kid as Thorasskus.

Is this the first bug you have encountered? Dragon's Eye almost always manages to screw up my games. I ended up having to load up from Kuldahar's exit 3 times out of 5.

I had the same problem with Old Thory as you, but resting does the trick. The point is, the wizard in the lib needs enough time for his research to get the info, and it can take more than a day, so resting one time may not be enough. Try resting three or more times, talk to the wizard again, talk to Thory again, blow his little kid cover, finish him off. That's it.
