    [IMG] Hi,

I'm a little confused about shapeshifting with a druid. My question lies in the attacks that are made when shapeshifted. Does your equiped weapon have any influence when shapeshifted. Like I would I do more damage in wolf form with an great sword equiped then when using a short sword, also in wolf form?
And how about attack bonusses, like when I use a +3 weapon, will this also apply when shapeshifted.

    Does someone know this?
    Thanks

[IMG] When shapeshifted it is like having a magical wepon - it basically overrides your current weapon - though I can picture a wolf running around with a greatsword :hmm:

I think that the weapon you are carrying doesn't affect your attack when you are shapeshifted, you can notice that if you try to switch a weapon and the game says something like "magical weapon in use"
    Good luck

Hehehe, I just thought, like in games such as diablo 2 or something...when you are in normal form with a sword that does 20 damage for example, that when you shifted, you would also do 20 damage.

But are there attack bonuses when shifted?

Your character uses the attacks of his shapeshifted form and uses the bonuses provided by that form's stats. So if your STR rises, you get an extra bonus to hit and damage, if your DEX rises, your AC improves and so on. Likewise if the new form has a stat lower than that of your character. Most feats, skills and special abilities can still be used when shapeshifted, and spells can be cast on the shifted character, or by the Druid prior to changing shape.
If you have a Druid/Barbarian you may still Rage, a Druid/Rogue can use his skills, a Druid/Monk gets the WIS-based AC bonus and can use abilities like Stunning Attack.
Basically, the only things that do not make the transfer are weapons, armour and special items, and spell-casting is not possible. And as far as I know, the Druid's BAB table and save chart is used for attacks and saving throws.
