The quest with villagers hold captive. I killed all orcs on the map, and game still stated I did not(No quest exp. or dialogue options with prisoners). Then I killed everythng in the cave, and the game still didn't wanted to acknowledge my victory. I though maybe after clearing Shaengarne Bridge they will feel saved, but no!
Ok, jokes aside, half of those dumb Orcs started panicking and running around. One ofthem got into Torak's camp, and I fear that entering there without triggering "Villagers Saved" first messed things up. The game probably thinks villagers are dead, even though they are still alive... so, is there some varioable I need to change via console to fix it and get my reward?

Oh, and by the way, is there XP cap remover for IWD2?

 

Have you destroyed some of the barrels that keep the villagers fenced in?

 

Destroy the kegs of blasting as well ... and not with a fireball

 

Don't worry about an XP cap remover. Few manage to get to even L25. The challenge ratings will have you swearing soon enough.

 

All I did was destroy one barrel in front of the villagers to release them and get my reward. I also dialogued with one or two of them which was sufficiently boring and uninformative to make me not do it with three or four

I dunno...a fireball to destroy the kegs of blasting?...the graphics could be cool.

After you destroy a barrel or two to release the prisoners, you have to talk to Kaitlin again. You'll tell her you've freed her people, and then you'll get your xp.

Afterwards , if you're feeling evil, you can pop a fireball in the midst of the villagers and loot their charred corpses...

 

Few people get to level 25? Really? I'm at Kuldahar in HOF and my average character lvl isn't 25, more like 23, but three of my characters are 25 and one is 27.

Then again I went through the first run with four and added the remaining two for HOF, so perhaps that makes a differance.

 

I was talking of the normal game. Sure, with HoF it could well be possible that you end up at the limit.

EDIT: At what avarage level did your party of four end the normal game? You are getting the higher levels since you are playing the game twice with those same charecters.

 

Ok, I destroyed *all* the Kegs and still neither villagers nor Kaitlin cares. I told you, it's that Orc thing

And about XP cap... well I'm planning to go solo after(Of course), so...

 

Sounds like there is a problem.
Try soloing a bard.

 

My magniownerous paladin/wizard was ECL 27, for all I remember.

And yeah, it's about that last surviving orc. You have to kill the thing before the quest is done. Fire an arrow and run like hell, backstab, whatever such. You seem to need to kill it before Torak dialogue kicks in, although I'm not sure if the villagers are scripted to die even in the absence of a single stinking orc.

 

I recommend Power Word: Reload.
