The strange thing is that I have my monk26/fighter4 Sfirvneblin solo tank on my computer... as my characters got lost my first party on my new system consisted of:
    Half-orc barbarian20/fighter10
    Shield Dwarf Battleguard of Tempus30
    Human Ranger5/Fighter10/Rogue15
    Drow Sorcerer30

I wonder what to pick next. Any advises thoughts and etc. I would like to test something different with this scheme - tank, healer/helptank, scout/decoy and exterminator...?

I don't understand you fully. Do you actually want to run through the game with level 30 characters and therefore not a single level-up during a roleplaying game?

Try something different then, like a Druid or Bard.

You could come up with a theme for your party. Maybe all-humans or all-sorcerers or something... It might be fun to roleplay.
Druids and Bards can be very good. I'm currently playing with a Druid(15)/Fighter(4)/Barbarian(3) (has multiclassing penalty) and a Cleric(11)/Bard(11) and it's pretty much fun.

    Have you tried the "UPP"?

    - Shield Dwarf Fighter-4/Barbarian
    - Shield Dwarf Cleric of Tempus
    - Human Cleric of Lathander
    - Drow Rogue-1/Conjurer
    - Human Sorcerer
    - Aasimar Sorcerer

If you go through the game in both modes with this party it would be interesting to read what you thought.

The UPP is quite boring I found, the lack of RPing is depressing, then again I am a hardcore RPer. My advice is just solo the game, it will make you quite well versed in it's ways. But don't use a mellee character use a mage or sorceror or something weak. Mage with Greatswords is nice to have, using mine right now.

Probably stands just behind the tank and swings harder when out of useful spells.
And why is it difficult to think of a mage using weapons in IWD II? Mine uses flails :D

    Edit:
    Just noticed, SOLO!
    How?

A flail is quite different from a greatsword. I don't have issues with mages using flails (sort of takes me back to old school FF when black mages could use whips). A single class mage using a greatsword though? As a hardcore RPer I would definitely question that.

    If I was DMing 3E, which I don't, and one of my players came to me with something like that, they'd better have a damn good explanation for it. Or at least do some good fast-talking. ;_;

In my eyes RP is not trying out wacky things for the sake of it (although that can be fun too), it's coming up with plausible motivations and explanations for *why* a character would do such a thing. The majority of single class mages simply wouldn't have the strength to lift a greatsword, much less wield it to great effect. And the average mage wouldn't want to, I believe--most of the single class mages I have played think hand-to-hand melee combat is crass and the tool of mental incompetents, only to be used as a last resort. Of course, you might not have the average mage--maybe his mother was a blacksmith or a great warrior who made him learn swordplay, kinda like how many people irl force their kids to take piano. I dunno. ^^; I really don't see it as plausible, though. YMMV of course.

Now, if we were talking a fighter/mage, this argument flies out the window. The fighter/mage in my group uses greatswords almost exclusively, as they are sort of his signature weapon.

How about a "David and Goliath" match? Play with a Halfling Rogue who's only weapon is a sling.
