    [​IMG] I Know there are a lot of different types..

    Summons, Evocation, Necro.. ETC..

    But if you could only pick a Single spell to cast through the Whole of the game, what would it be, And why?

    (Lets say... 1 Offensive, 1 defensive/healing: To make it Fair.. hehe)

    [​IMG] Magic missile, cuz it's a classic basic spell and the one a mage can't go into combat without. (Rememberin' the times of BG2 when my evil mage was killing every people in the Copper Coronet with a couple of those magic missiles :D )

    Greater invisibility (don't know if it is a bug,but anybody can see you,even if you attack him :D ),cry of the banshe (it's nice

    Melf's acid arrow is one of my favorites. It's fast, effective, and is a nightmare to trolls.
    Magic missile is wonderful, too. Something great about seeing five or so of those shining magic globes go crashing into any enemy. :)

    Fireball & D/B Fireball are some of the most fun to cast. Send your thief in to backstab then have your mage cover him (literally) with the fireball. Thief should dodge it, and all the baddies go nite-nite.

    Skull-Trap ... very useful when my monk sneaks up on a group of monsters & gets them to chase her into 3-5 of them. She dodges, they go "splat"

    Horror has been very useful.

    Just discovered Bone Darts ... kinda cool too!

    [​IMG] I'm going to have to agree with Khelben, fireball rocks. I use it all the time to damage or kill lots of enemys at the same time. It's also nice to use with a rouge so he can evade it when all the enemys swarm at him.

    Offensive - Horrid wilting
    Defensive - Animate undead (Animate undead cannot kill anything in HoF. They only serve as meat shields. So i guess the spell qualifies as defensive spell)

    [​IMG] Animate undead - they 'grow' with you and they are soooo long lasting.
    Mordekein's Sword - Your Sorc/Wiz can melee AND stay at the back.
    Mass Haste - for those tough battles.
