    Sprite
    --------
Damnit! There's got to be SOMETHING out there by now concerning the paperdoll change (from a female sprite to a male sprite) of female deep gnomes when their primary profession becomes either a sorcercer or wizard (or any specialist wizard). I just can't stand the horrible choice the designers used for this race.

Is there anything out there that corrects this? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    VXD Errors
    --------
I don't know if anyone else experience this problem but every once in a while I get these VXD errors (I believe that's what it's called). These errors crashes the computer & shuts down explorer, etc. I can't even reboot! The only way I found to get the computer back up and running is to turn off the master switch on the circuit breaker (it's the exact same thing as PULLING the power cord off the wall), wait a few minutes, and hope for the best when you turn the computer back on. And you know what? Icewind Dale 2 CAUSES THIS! I am NOT kidding! IWD2 IS the cause of these errors! That's why I'm asking for help here. I haven't found ANYTHING at Microsoft's knowledge base to help me on this issue since my OS is defunct.

Is there anyone out there that can help me with this issue?

    AC
    --------
Around this time about a month ago, Jukka Mikkonen, Shrikant, and I have discussed what the best AC a solo character can get. My game is vanilla with the expection of adding the unofficial slowdown fix and patch. I came up with a different character shortly after that discussion; because, while we were speaking hypothetically, the ideas in that discussion of that thread located here on these boards was wrong. Expecially the part about a druid/monk combo. This can't happen--ever. Yeah, one won't be able to ever create that character. I know this is overdue but I sincerely apologize if anyone was following the ideas contained in that discussion. And yes, it is possible for a single character (without usuage of scrolls) to get an AC above 71 (Minimum with spells)* without using any cleric spells, druid spells, songs, potions, shields & the spell "Shield", or armor. *AC minimum as factored when no stat can be greater than 40 (the stat cap info was given to me).

I know that you can change it in-game; however, this method isn't permenant. And I'd rather not go through it over and over again everytime I play.

I've never used Dalekeeper. If I change the sprite via Dalekeeper is it permenant?

Not permament, you have to do it each time you start a new game, but not too much of an hassle to do it because I take it you doesn't start over too often, right?

Let me see if I get your drift. If I use Dalekeeper and change the sprite for a character, then that stays persisent for that game, right? So, if I load up a save of that game, then the character will still have the changed sprite, correct? Because from what I understand as you have said it, the only time the character's sprite reverts back to the screwed up original is when I start a new game; hence, only when I export and then import that character.

But I really get the feeling that this isn't the case and that I will have to cycle through the paperdolls everytime I play.

Isn't there anything out there that manipulates the bif files (where the sprite information is located) and puts the correct sprites into the game? Isn't this the same problem that the infinity engine had with the BG series as well?

I had real trouble changing my Paladin's avatar to that of the Yuan-ti halfbreed. Everytime she tried to level up it crashed the game. It said it was unable to find the right animation. If I had to guess, I'd say it was because it found the current animation, but since it wasn't the normal one it had a conflict finding the proper one. Or something.

    Son of a ---.

There goes the RPing for the gnomes.
I'm gonna scrub the current party (all deep gnomes--males & females).

Been a while since I played with female halfings. If I recall, IDW2 is the only one that does it correctly, right? Or is there a problem there as well?

Wasn't that what we had discussed. I had something similar once. It is possible. What problem did you face?
