I'm really curios if you can beat the game, Chewbaka :D

I would take an Asimar sorcerer and a mage with the other class of Human ( can't remember their name right now. ), because you won't get every spell two times on a scroll.

thanks for the advice but I like to stay away from sorcerers and wizards, ever since a wizard turned my left shoe into a frog I haven't trusted them!

Good Luck. I will be very impressed if you can beat the game in HOF mode without sorcerers. Wail of the banshee is saving my butt so far in Act 2.

That's also my opinion, I think you can't beat the game without offensive magic users.

You don't need sorcerers/wizards even if I always have a wizard myself.

Althought for HoF I would suggest having a few clerics, the Gate spell with invisibility scout to make the Gelugon clean the map is a nice and easy, very cheap and very effective tactic. The summoned Gelugon is as strong as a regular Gelugon, like any summoning monsters, so all the summoning spells get > nuking spells. Also, keep a few sanctuary spells ready in case, avoid many reload if you mess around. Go park the group far away while clerics(and wizzy/sorcerer and the invi scout of course) are making fun and clearing the map!

I am a meleeing group freak, always have tons of meleers...in HoF you cannot take melee to long (well, you can easily, but you need the group heal spell after each fight, not very effective, better keep for when you don't have much other choices(like fight at zone entrance))...clearing 10 monsters and using group heal spell...nah... rather call on the demons! :p Also, give those throwing weapons and stay behind summoned monsters while clearing stuff as alternate tactics with your lower levels summoning (don't let them fight alone, this is a lot more effective to come make the real damage while they are tanking)

Sending an invisible scout, then casting Gate(a few time if needed) pretty much clear the floor. Any casting that is doing damage is completely useless with all the hps the mobs have.

ATM I am doing the battlesquare *^$%$# in HoF and I need to use the load option often since the damn mace of disruption is near useless and my barbarian might reduce 14 from any damage he take(yeah, monsters crits for as high as 140, this leave a plain 126 in your hps), he might have 30 str, he might think he is uber, but he sure need a lot of healing and reload! I am not sure at all the battlesquare thingy is worth the time in HoF, but why not, just reload a little here and there *giggles*.

Honestly, if you don't have a wizard/sorcerer, get another cleric, it will be more then welcome...especially later. Kinda funny to see my lathander cleric keep calling demons to do our fights...LOL...but otherwise I would need to rest, and I never rest more then once per 3 maps or so(unless so quest required me to rest, I like to rest as little as possible). Of course, the battlesquare alone is a few rest to buff that sorry barbarian excuse again! :p
