Call me ignorant, but what exactly is H of F (that people keep referring to).

From what i have gathered it is some sort of area...

What is it called and what is it about?

"HoF" means "Heart of Fury" which is simply a difficulty level for IWD2.
Under HoF, all monster levels will go higher and the challenge will be too hard (However, this is not completely true. If you have a party of average level around 20 and start with that one, HoF is not harder than normal). Also, unique items will have better stats.

You could see it as a way of getting your party to level 30. The game is exactly the same, but the items are better, and you get more XP. So that you're party can get higher levels.
You can find this option in the config-program

    Yeah.

You'd want to start HoF with level 10 characters. Play a normal difficulty, then import them to HoF.

It's very wicked. You get a lot more experience per kill, but the kill is considerably more difficult, and there's a larger number of enemies per engagement.

Backstabbing will not normally kill *anything* outright. Wheras, in normal, you can kill stuff all the way through chapter 2, with a single backstab.

Getting more XP is not that true. Because of CR system as you can guess. Let me give an example, my party average is around 20 by now and I receive "0" XP per goblin. I remember getting 37 XP per goblin when I first started normal mode.
This is the same for orcs too. I receive 237 XP per HoF-orc where I received 300 XP per normal-orc.
However, technically we both agree you have a point. :holy:

I do not remember killing anyone by sneak attack, ever. :(
