Need help with Rejiek (tanner) in bridge area

    I hit Jejiek the tanner for more than 900 hit points and he won't die. Stays at near death. Is this a bug or is he a super human.

    I chased in downstairs with a thief and attacked him. When he gave chase, I went back upstairs and he followed. I then started pounding him with all my characters. He just would not go down.

    You have to let the tanner go downstairs. Then he is supposed to get away( But, you get to kill him later)

    [​IMG] Never bother to hunt characters that start running off from you in any infinity engine game.
    It's the way the engine deals with characters that need to be removed from the area or temporarily transferred somewhere else.
    So just let them walk into the wall or whatever and they'll dissapear. You'll only screw things up if you try to kill them when they're not supposed to be killed.

    I wouldn't say to 'never' kill a character who runs away...those two friends of the man in the red robe (bridge dist) have some nice items worth getting early in the game.

    I'm talking about the ones that are supposed to get away. It should dawn upon you that if you do 900 damage to a human that something's not right.

    Yup and when he gets away, it gives him a perfect chance to hide all his magical and most powerful weapons. The Vampiric Sword +5, the Boots of Devil Summoning and the Crown of the Naga!

    OH! And what do they do? I bet that Crown of the Naga is the BEST huh? I bet it makes you invincible to all damage right? And Boots of Devil Summoning? Do the devils appear right there in your boots? :)

    The Devils appear with magical Bows of "Brave Warrior" Slaying +5 and appear in a pentagram formation, with you in the very middle! Due to its vast power and summoning abilities, you can only use the boots 5 times a day!

    The Crown of the Naga lets you cast both Clerical and Wizard spells even if you're not either class and best of all, you can wear armor and use any weapon while wearing this item! All levels from 1 to 9 are fully supported and have a casting time of 1!

    These items are found in a crack in the top-right corner of the Tanners Building but you can only get to it if your main character is a Druid wearing The Cloak of the Sewers. You have to change into a mouse to get into the crack to get these most powerful items of destruction!

    Hey! Great! If I kill one of my summonned devils do I get to keep the Bow of Brave Warrior Slaying +5? You know how much I like bows and arrows! That would be perfect! :)
