Wand of I Wonder why I did this

    [​IMG] How many have been desperate or crazy enough to use the Wand of Wonder (is that the name...) that gives random effects?

    [​IMG] when I just got it I was wondering what it would do and I was just in a big fight with the mindflayers in the sewers (that's where you find it isn't it?).
    So I used it on a mindflayer who was just going to attack jaheira. He turned to stone, very very cool!
    I've used it 3 or 4 times now and it had only a negative effect, it stunned Aerie, but I just CAN'T sell the thing, because I want to know what it can do else.
    Does anyone of you people out there know what it does? :confused: Thx

    It doesn't do anything else but random spell effects, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

    It can cast Strength, Stinking Cloud, Lightning Bolt and a couple others, but not many.

    I only used it ONCE in the whole game, and it cast Strength on my enemies. Gee, that was fun...

    I think someone's pulling our collective legs here. I tried it just to see what its effects could be and used about 30 of its charges (in non-combat! on my own party) and it never made any items.

    What's the deal?

    [​IMG] I had a problem with it not doing what it said it was doing. I used it: the feedback said that it was casting strength: it cast web all over the place.

    My friend used it on the red dragon and it disentigrated it. It's just a roll of the dice as they say. ;)

    You know I didn't ask him if it did or not. Not that it mattered much cause he didn't have a paladin but that would suck if he did. ;)

    [​IMG] Hint: Don't sell the wand of wonders jet. If my memory is still good, you get 15000 gp in the shops and 40000 gp in the Elven City. (with the long name :))

    This is only when you need the money, at the time that I was in the Elven City, I didn't need the 40000 more then the 15000 before I went to the Underdark so maybe it is better to sell the staff for 15000 when you need the money then for 40000 when you've got plenty of gp's.
