[IMG] Howdy. I've beaten BG and will soon get the add on TOSC but shortly I'm going to BG2 and may just skip to it. Anywho I need the minimum and recommended 'Real Play Testing' specs.

Space...How much space will i need, this includes space of game files and cache?

    Ram...never mind i'm set.

Video...i'll have to deal with 2D.

I guess space is the big one, that's my limiting factor.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

According to my experience you will need a lot of RAM. At a minimum 128 megs. Do not run the game under win2k if you donĀ“t have 128+ RAM.

    my config:

    CPU 400MHz
    128 RAM
Soundblaster Live (slowes the game a great bit)
    full install.

All i all it does not run fast at all, but maybe it is I who has done something wrong!

-By the way, I am not sure this is the right board for tech. talk

  3. Well, my PC is pretty old now, but it doesn't seem to have to many problems running BG2. There is quite a bit of slowdown when I enter a new area, but after 30 seconds or so, it goes back to normal. My PC's specs are: PII 266, 32mb RAM, Voodoo 2 12mb and some crappy sound card. I reckon if I had more RAM, the slowdown would be pretty much eliminated. I have the reccomended install, and the loading times aren't relly to bad.

BTW - I run BG2 in 640 x 480, with most of the options turned off (I'd rather have a smooth game, than a few flashes when casting a spell :))

I haven't run into any problems playing the game and I think you need about 2 gigs for a full install but I'm not too sure.

[IMG] My full install at the moment is 2.5GB big. That included the temp files the game makes.
