How do I beat Sarevok??? In the ducal palace he almost killed me. And in the final battle I can't even touch him. My PC is a fighter (lv7) with 21 in str, dex and con (after casting draw upon holy might). His AC is -8.

But Sarevok hits on every attack he makes. I've summoned tons of aninmals but it doesn't help. Spells don't work on Sarevok so the rest of my party is practically useless!

I need help. Any strategies. I've learned to take the others with him down one by one but I can't beat Sarevok.

Hmm, last time I played he didn't have a magic resistance as he should have... Funnily, it was the first time I had all the patches :p

Anyway, if you're really desperate, buy two monster summoning wands from the wizard's shop in Baldur's Gate and just keep on using them near Sarevok, he'll die eventually. Equip your characters with ranged weapons to speed up the process. And don't bother using spells, he's 100% resistant or at least close.

It depends on the party members you have. I pumped up my fighter and Minsc and hasted all of my characters and just bombarded him. That was the only way I could do it. Summoning lots of monsters helped a little. I've tried it a couple of times without haste and I didn't succeed. I used the rest of my party for healing purposes and missile attack.

Indeed, it's not only about your main fighter. With Imoen with the Eagle Bow, One with the great Heavy Crossbow and one with the long bow of Markmanship, you do lot's of damage to Sarevok, at least when you spent some money buying good arrows and bolts for them.

I think I need to stock up on potions and real good arrows and try again. Imoen does have the eagle bow and she had about 10 arrrows of biting (+4 thaco). The problem is Sarevok kills my PC in about five hits.

I don't see how I can bring down my AC of my PC any more. I find it ridiculous that Sarevok can hot every single time and do so much damage.

I am going to try a few more times, hasting my characters and all that, before I give up. Maybe I'll get the XP xap remover and bring my char up to 16th level also!

[IMG] I always ignore the other characters and concentrate on taking out sarevok. Take one mage to cast summon monsters etc. to keep sarevok at arms length and pepper him with magical arrows with your other characters(Arrows of piercing are a favourite). A worthy purchase are several potions of healing for each of your charachters and if Sarevok breaks through your monster screen then keep healing the characters he gets into contact with until you can create a new monster screen.

Bombard the area around where he is located (you dont need to see him to do this) to take out his friends then summone a large quantity of monster and use them as a screen as you pound him with every ranged wepon you have.

Beating Sarevok: If you are a wuss-wimp.
Have an invisible character trigger the dialoge with Sarevok and shoot his pet mage.
Launch several web and stinking clouds at his friends. Then you can just shoot him while he battles your monsters.

Beating Sarevok: If you are a macho-stud:
Drink every potion you have. Haste is a must.
And ATTACK! Your first objective is to kill the mage as quickly as possible.
Try to stun both Angelo and Tazok with either a wand or chromatic orb.
Angelo has low wisdom and thus low save.
    You can charm him.
If you can charm Angelo, then kill Tazok.
It's not that hard. A few flame arrows or blasts from a wand of the heavens, frost or fire (agganazars scorcher ability) should be enough. Now take care of Angelo in hand-to-hand. It might help to keep Sarevok at bay with a few monsters.
Then attack Sarevok. Backstabbing multiple times (potions of invisibility) helps.
    Tadaaa.

I also found that you can 'creep' up on the right side of the temple and get Tazok to attack you by himself. One less guy to worry about later :)
