Starting reading Servant of the Shard by Salvatore.

I have got to say this this is the best book I have read from Salvatore.

I'm liking the partnership (or even friendship!) between Jarlaxle and Entreri. I had considered the two of them far too Machiavellian to start looking out for one another.

Can't seem to dispense with this series for good like I did with Jordan. Oh well.

Currently reading Elaine Cunningham's "Liriel Baenre" trilogy. Pretty dire for the most part. The drow come across as spiteful children and the Liriel herself is such a naff character I could happily throttle her.

    "Neanderthal" by John Darnton.

A bit cheesey, but you expect that from a book that advertises itself as being as scientific thriller 'in the tradition of Michael Crichton'.

After reading Wishsong of Shannara I lost interest in Terry Brooks stuff. But I must say
I reacently picked up another title from him,
Scions of Shannara. I'm halfway done it's turning out to be a nice read.

"Lyonesse - Suldrun" - Jack Vance.

Supposedly this is the first part of some classic fantasy trilogy but I've never heard of it before.
