I have made a mod, but it only has one area. How do I add a new one onto the one that I already have?

With an area transition. This can be a door or a trigger.
Give it a unique tag and give the target door/trigger a unique tag too.
Get in the properties screen of the door/trigger, you will see a tab named "Transition".
    The tab itself is self-explanatory.
