Well esentially yes, but there seems to be an infinte supply of Bhaalspawn, so it could go on forever, more or less.

So you mean that eventially the Bhaalspawn will rule the Freakin' univers, or do you mean that a new one will be born after an old one died...?

No, I'm saying that Bhaal impregnated an awful lot of women before he went wherever he is now...
There is a finite supply of Bhaalspawn, but the numbers obviously won't dwindle until Wizards of the Coast say that they've all been killed. Something along those lines anyway.

[IMG] I wonder what did happen to Bhaal. Maybe we should ask the Githyanki if they know.

"Oh no, we only built a fortress on his carcass!"

I think we will meet him alright, but won't we loose our special abbilities because we have to fight him? I mean, if we kill our father?

well i hate to point this out cuz its to lame to say but, 2 things can happen with this story line #1 you can become Bhaal, and kill stuff and let the samething happen again... or #2 you can kill Bhaal and be freed from his curse... not a hard thing to figure out is it?

If you became Bhaal, wouldn't you have to kill Cyric first?

You dont have to kill Cyric(but it is a way I guess), but you have to get your portfolio(the things Cyric tock over when Bhaal died) back. Probebly through getting a lot of worshipers that worships you as the Lord of Murder.....

1stly, are you even sure you will meet Bhaal?

Maybe the add-on is all about getting his portfolio or sheds further light on his legacy. Besides, Bhaal was already killed, so his carcass should be floating in the Astral.

i got a few things to say about this. I like the idea of having to kill all the bhaal kids, but what about Imoen. and what kinda person was Bhaal. some kinda stud hey. i mean all those children, and according to you people he made hundreds, I tell you what he is pretty lucky. but hang on a minute, if u all remember the ending scene 4 BG1 he did it with all the races...including the orcs, ugh. and also to the main question, WHAT DO YOU MEAN RESISTENCE, you get the slayer, and he don't just get an ice attack, he gets resistence to all magic, which i think is very nifty indeed.

[IMG] First off Bhaal was killed by Cyric(a mortal thief during the Time of Troubles with "Godsbane" a blade that could slay Gods). Bhaal was part of unholy trinity of evil gods known as the Dark Three(the other two were Bane and Myrkul who were also destoyed in different cicumstances during the Godswar/Time of Troubles). The Gods war happened about ten years prior to the events that take place in BG I and II.

Secondly, Bane had a dark vision of his own death and the death of his allies, years before the Godswar and made plans to return back from the dead(Myrkul created the Crown of Horns and Bhaal spawned a number of children who shared some of his power) Bhaal's plan was to create a war(being god of Murder this futhered his aims as war is "murder on a grand scale") so that he could return in the body of one of his children-if Sarevok had been successfull in starting the war between Amn and Tethyr(during BG I) Bhaal would have returned to the Realms using Sarevok's body.

Lastly, the expansion to BGII "Throne of Bhaal" will tie up all the loose ends of this epic plot. As for the god like powers of the Bhaal-spawn...

...Each has a natural STR of 18/00,they have a 90% magic resistance to fire, cold, acid and electricity and can go berserk (doubles attacks,+4 to hit) at the first sight of blood)

    Hope that clears that up!
