What about us good people?

I have seen recently that Sarevock is to appear as chaotic evil character in TOB.
I suppose i can understand this but i would have liked to have seen a plot where he turns around and cleanses his soul or something like that.

But anyway i thought fair enough.........but then i thought again.........oh dear i said as i suddenly realised that i was a paladin with a rep of 20 and had worked very hard to transport the same guy through both games and build up a lot of strength. In that case Sarevock will be about as popular as a bad case of hemoroides in my party so i can't have him.

    Here is the question:
Will us good people lose out on some great dialouge and extra quests and plots because of this?
Why can we not have a good npc to join with us?
Will there be other things for just god people?
Why for that matter are all the best npc's evil in both bg and bg2? ( lets face it guys. They all kick ass)

In my humble opinion, there are already enough NPC options for a good character. However, it is impossible to make up a full party of evil people, as there are only 3 evil NPCs (Korgan, Edwin, Viconia). although I personally don't want to hang about with a guy who spent the whole of BG1 sending mercenaries to kill me.

If you want him in your party real bad you can always drop your reputation two points. He will be still complaining but he won't leave. Of course, that wouldn't sound like roleplaying a paladin to me. So you should act like a hero and resist the temptation.
That's why I hate playing paladins so much :).

Since you actually revive him, I think even a good party could tag him along, though if I were paladin I must say that I would have my doubts.

I'm gonna have him in my evil party, dunno if I have space for him in my good party.

    POSSIBLE spolier!
Avooc Dar: you could become a fallen paladin, then you wouldn't have a problem except from not being good, hehehe

oh well, play the expansion with an evil party as well

well, I always play either neutral good (some this matches my personality really nice) or neutral evil (sometimes you just need to be evil, hehehe)

    AVOOCH DAR, WHERE, WHERE!!!!!!
I want to know where I can find his stats, I'm really gonna love 'em!
BTW. I had a good party my first time through and it was cool, having Minsc and Keldorn etc. But now I'm using an evil party, because I wanted Edwin and Korgan and Viconia and I have to say, dialogs are SO much better if you are evil. Now I'm living in The NEtherlands, so it'll take a while before ToB gets here, so I hope I've completed the game again, so I can continue with my evil party along with Sarevok!

Even in terms of role playing, just think outside the box...even a lawful good character can have faith in the ability of people to change....i.e., you have compassion because people have misjudged you due to your bahlspawn nature, and you think you can show him the light.......works for me. it's bound to be some great dialouges between you. I've never played a paladin....how do those radiant heart boys feel about the beast inside you anyway?

I think it just helps balance the NPC's, there are so many "good" ones, it's time for some "evil" ones. Who will you join you? You have plenty of choices. Time to make room for the evil peeps :D

And look on the bright side. If you're good you can have the pleasure of exterminating him again!

If a good cleric can "gate" in a pit fiend why not summon Sarevok in the same spirit. Let evil fight evil for the greater good.

Hmm, well, I tihnk it might be a little more complicated than just gating him in, since he also is(was, whatever) a spawn of bhaal, a godling ;)
