Help: transport to thieves guild?

    I won the battle in the ducal palace at the end of BG. Belt lived. Sarevok got d-doored away.

    BUT I never got transported to the Thieve's Guild (I didn't even know I needed to until
    a day or two after the battle when, wandering around the city, I got frustrated and went on-line to figure out what was the next step). Belt won't talk to me.

    And, of course, I've gone over my saves from before the battle.

    Any other way to get down there? help!? please!!?

    The thieves guild lies in the first area in Baldurs Gate, just north of the Elvensong tavern.

    Yes, good point: I tried to go back to the thieves guild, but I don't seem to be able to get downstairs--or to where whatever the next part is. I'm very frustrated!

    2 options:

    1. It's a bug

    2. There's still an enemy left, somewhere in a dark shadowed place or something like that. After Sarevok leaves there come some creatures you have to kill.

    Have you tried to talk to Belt after you defeated the enemies? When talking to him, he would transport you to the thiefs maze. Normally this talk should start automatically but maybe this helps?
