[IMG] Which guild do you get better stuff at, the Shadow Thieves or Bodhi's guild?

Working for Bodhi gets you more stuff - all the gear you would get from Aran Linvail + ring of Djinni summoning + Rifthome axe (throwing axe +3).

Plus you get to murder lots more people, including a corrupt politician. :)

I think you can open the chest in Aran's room to get the ring of Djinni summoning, even if you're joining him. Not a very good attitude for a thief.... What working for Bodhi *really* gets you is Aran's nice Elven Chain +1. Not that remarkable by ordinary standards, but if you're playing a dual- or multi-class mage of some sort, it's very useful.

Will Keldorn leave your group if you join Bodhi's guild? Either way, you do bad things for both guilds, but you do get better items from the Shadow Thieves...

This thread is of interest to Duharrel as he has to make the choice soon - he's running out of out of Athkala quests to seek out...

I normally side with the Theives, but Duharrel seems to be doing things that others would view as Evil (suggesting siding with Bodhi) when, in actuality, they are merely chaotic (loook out for number one, ya know?).

I believe there's more experience in joining the shadow thieves, and most of the stuff you can get from them anyway.

The elven chain is only +1, so finding a regular chain where you could wear a ring of protection to give you +1 to all saving throws as well would be better. In Trademeet, do the mantle quest and let them whack eachother, and you got a fine elven chain nonmagical :)

If you have Haer'Dalis, finding that Melody Chain(forgot the precise name) is a must.

[IMG] I think it is not about the good stuff. I can't imagine to work for a vampire! The are to be killed and staked!(said my undead hunter)

sadly you can't turn on bodhi, it isn't arkanis garth in vampire mode though. Bodhi just kills your entire party (not sure how though, some instant death thingy).

But roleplaying should be the main issue, the stuff you get isn't that different anyway..

and joining undead? *shivers* I hate undead! you can't trust them!

I've never joined Bodhi (since you know who her brother is), and I never will(probably). It just seems wrong.

[IMG] But will you lose Keldorn if you join Bodhi's guild or reveal MaeVar?

I don't know about losing Keldorn by joining Bodhi for sure but I think that's been said before, but no you won't loose Keldorn by doing the Mae'var quest.

No, you don't lose Keldorn, though he complains a little. I think that you get the same experience with both Guilds.

I personally prefer siding with Bodhi since I enjoy the killing of humans a bit more than the killing of vampires. Consider me evil, but I just manipulate others to get the most out of the situation.

  15. I joined with Aran Linvail. I got good stuff, but I cannot tell you which is better because I didn't try joining Bohdi. If you are gonna kill her in the end though, I suggest you go with Bohdi.

if you plan the story you could join the vampires. Cleaning Athkatla of both Shadow Thieves AND Vampires, two for the price of one.

Though I still don't trust undead, too bad you can't kill Aran after you get back from spellhold

Hey is it true that "the door is closing soon" as Valen says, or can you join at any time?
