Unfinishable Mage Stronghold, Help!

    On my first play-through with a mage protagonist, I beat the sphere and did the apprentice quests, and played through to the ambush. When I got the message to go and meet teos, I entered the sphere, and not knowing what to expect, I saved. The ambushers slaughtered me, so I loaded, and went off to get more xp and better items, but now when I go back to the sphere, teos isn't there for our meeting. Does anyone know which global variable i have to reset and to what value?

    I think there was a bug in the original game - are you using the final official patch?

    Teos has you ambushed??? When does this happen? I have played the Mage Stronghold a few times, and I have never been ambushed by him... :confused: :rolling:

    I don't think that's what he meant. I presume he was refering to the halflings that ambush you, and not to Teos ordering and ambush or anything. (IMHO.)

    I never downloaded the official patch, and although there aren't very many problems, I would still like the patch. Where can I download it? Is it any of the ones available on this site?

    Re the ambush

    After the aprenti have graduated you get a message to meet Teos in the sphere, its a set up, you get ambushed. Once you've delt with the attackers you get the last bit of the stronghold quest.

    You'll have to start a new game don't forget after you've installed the latest patch, otherwise nothing will change. How on earth have you managed to play without the official patch??? it's so buggy!!! (Cannot initiate dialigue, Character is busy!)

    Edit:- You should also try going upstairs in the tavern in the city gates. If there is a guy with four bodyguards there, then you have missed a part of the quest and should have a special rune in your inventory from Teos.
