Well, allowing the bastard sword to perform sneak attacks would be against pnp Dungeons and Dragons rules, and since it isn't mentioned as a change in the end of the manual, I would assume it still can't do sneak attacks.

"Either glaive or ranseur. Take your pick.

There are no magical variants of the two during the game, but there are a few masterwork versions that you can magic-up yourself."

    - I don't think that's right. :)
I've found a Holy Ranseur (spelled Ransuer) +1.

It's fighters that always seem to let me down in the hitting things department. It's the same in the table-top game. I get fighters with theoretically splended attack bonuses and none of them can hit the side of a barn with a +5 axe of barnslaying. That's because they never roll more than about 4 on the d20.

I don't think there's any way of seeing the dice rolls in TOEE is there?

    @ Iron Chicken:

"I don't think there's any way of seeing the dice rolls in TOEE is there?"

    - Well, you can toggle the "Show Dice Rolls" thingy at the right end of the screen. Judging from its name, it should show the rolls. :)
At least that show the XP you gain, I've not bothered to check for other stats/rolls there. :)

Nope, it shows damage figures etc. but not the rolls.

Do you see the blue texts. Click on them and you will see the rolls.

    Example
    PC HITS goblin
click on HITS and a window will pop up to show Attack bonuses, Enemy AC and the roll you did.

This also works with Reflex/Will/Fortitude saves against spells if you are curious about enemy saving throws. Bugbear Fails Reflex save. Click on the blue text. You will see the actual figures.

You can also click on the blue text Damage figures to see the breakdown from weapon/power attack/specialization/criticals and immunities/resistances.

I think people tend to focus too much on the rouge vs. fighter etc. with regards to damage! If you really want to deal damage create a group with a couple of strong fighters in front with lots of HP and a very high AC. they just need to hold the front line! Create a pure cleric that can heal the front line troops. In the rear have 2 sorceres with at least 18 in charisma. Have them focus on evocation, spell penetration and and feats that maximize damage of evocations spells (magic missiles and fireballs etc). Lets them burn out every thing that stands in your way. They will each have at least 8 magic missiles, 7 fireballs, 4 ice storms (if they are resistant to fire), webs and lots of other serious offensive spells. So lets see how many foes are left standing after 14 fireballs. I have not encountered anything yet that i could not handle in very few rounds, no matter how many there are! So while you are talking about doing sneak damage 10d6 imagine doing that amount of damage to allmost all the foes involved in the combat X 2 in each round. It really is as simple as that - trust me :)
Oh yeah and by the way... the knock spell really opens all the locked doors and chests in the game. And detect secret doors and traps spells are also nice spells to have.

Rogue problem, why your rogue 2/cleric 1 keeps missing has nothing to do with you ebing close or anything it is to do with the buckler. They made the buckler in the game while using a bow, make you have a miss chance, due to check penalties and the like, I know this, cos I read it somewhere, not sure where exactly, but it is one of the differences between ToEE rules and 3.5 ed rules.

Unequip the buckler and you should start hitting :)
