I need help! crashing!

    ok i have Co8 installed , and ive been having some crashing, sometimes when i access the pc book in the inn, and now when i try to talk to filken or the widow to complete the quest, why the F is it crashing....buy the way, is the otis worth taking/give quests or can i just kill him for stuff?

    Do you have all of the offical patches as well as the Co8? This should help with the crashes.

    Use the NPCs if you are just starting out. None of them are worth the XP lost if you fell you have the hang of the game. Take Otis along for the first few fights, maybe have him help you with the ogre in the meadow or help you take out the evil merchants, then have him die unexpectantly in some battle. Don't kill him yourself, even if you are evil. This will just upset everyone in town and you need them for their quests. Elmo does have some good stuff though.

    yes i have official 1&2, could tweaking with Co8 fe (max number of pcs) have an affect? any who i find that i can save and quit and come back and it works so i save after talking to each person....tedious, oh so tedious.

    and thanks for the heads up i wont kill otis, but ihave great stuff, ive been crafting to get +@ weapons but so far the one i like is fruella's (rest in peace...snicker) masterwork cleaver, 1d10 17-20x3 woohoo

    Changing the maximum number of PCs has the unfortunate effect of making the two books in the inns crash the game when accessed.

    No idea why you are crashing when talking to people. Might be some issue with your system and the game.
