What if Sarevok won?

Hi everyone. I was wondering, if Sarevok would have killed you at the end of Baldur's gate instead of you killing him, would Irenicus kidnap and «experiment» on him instead?

I want to start a game with that alternative story. With for sure, Sarevok as the main character, I would want to have his acolytes too. Angelo, Semaj, surely Tamoko but for others I don't know. Tazok is a half-ogre so I don't really know what to do with him. There's Cythandria too, his other girlfriend or whatever but that would make a lot of mages. Any other suggestions? Don't forget to give your opinion about the beginning of my post. Thank you.

First; I don't think Irenicus would care less if it was the main character, Sarevok or Clinton himself. He would kidnap anyone to get his immortality back.

As for the party You can use, Ahem.. "Shadow Keeper" to make Tazok. He should work realisticly if he wields the proper weapons. But the plot would seem awkward in Firkraag's lair.

Angelo, Semaj and Tamoko would be excellent. That leaves room for NPC's to drag along and torture ... You are Sarevok remember. All loot for yourself. Rule by fear and tyranny. Perhaps you can make Sarevok's armor with in ItemEditor and put in the game. Irenicus has most likely sold it and now it is somewhere in Amn.

 

Suggest that idea to TeamBG, perhaps they can come up with something?
IMO, it would be awesome to play through the game with Sarevok and have all sort of new twists and turns in the game. Not to mention his party =).
Plus the fact, how is he going to deal with Drizzt? Or even better, just the fact of him going to Watcher's Keep, not to save the followers of Helm, but just to test his strength.
Alot of dialogue has to be redone for this to be accomplished, but it could be grand indeed...

Hmmmm . . . If Sarevok won, wouldn't he have become another Bhaal? And I don't think even a guy like Irenicus would be trying to capture him then.

 

seeing sarevok in action, I think he would be able to kick anyones butt, Irenicus' too. He could probably complete the legacy chosen for you, but who knows. After all he got a neat party of powerful personalities

Yes, this sounds very interesting! My name derives from if Sarevok had acomplished his goal he would be Lord Sarevok, Lord of Murder...sounds good too .

Then again, I remember one of the dialog lines in the final chat with Sarevok in the Temple of Bhaal in BG1 was something along the lines of "Gods do not give up their power willingly, even dead ones". So even if he had defeated the protaganist, he might not have become the new Lord of Murder anyway.

Oh, I remember the last thing he says to you too: "Face me, face the new Lord of Murder!"

lets ay that he killed you in duchel palace with the dopplegangers. Then Amn would be destroyed anyway. Saravok would demolish Irenicus any day of the week

 

I mean if he killed you after you prevented his war. Amn would'nt be destroyed and even if he's strong, Irenicus should have no difficulty to capture him.

 

Tazok could easily be made, simply switch his avatar with either shadowkeeper or the cheat keys.

Tamoko might be a problem though, considering she might've been killed before the encounter with Sarevok. Or if not, she left and probably wouldn't be around when Sarevok and his best friends were captured. *idea* If your editing skills are good enough, maybe make it so Tamoko comes to rescue you instead of Imoen? In that case, she would have sneaked in with the shadow thieves, and would be taken by Irenicus simply as bait, not because of her heritage. Might cause some problems with restoring Bodhi... Unless your soul was powerful enough for both of them.

There are dozens of other Bhaal-Spawn, so your death at Sarevok's hands wouldn't necessarily put him in the driver's seat of the Bhaal-avatar struggle. There might be stronger candidates one the side-lines.

 

There's no reason why he couldn't have offed the PC early and got the war with Amn he wanted. As Mathetais said, by the time you get to ToB his plan doesn't look all that hot, and in BG1 you get numerous NPCs saying that Amn is the predominant power in that part of the world and could squash Baldur's Gate like a bug.
In fact it might work better that way - the war would certainly draw attention to Sarevok, and what better time for Irenicus to capture him than when Amnish Legions are storming the Duchal Palace.

 

What are you going to do when you meet your imposter in the Pocket Plane? I'm pretty sure *that* Sarevok will get really confused and try to steal your team away!

 

now I've seen sarevok slash his way through 50 monster summonings. All he wants is a lot of dead people, he doesn't intend on winning the war.
And I know sarevok would kick my pc's arse anyday sarevok is just so bad, hehe. And I don't consider any other competitors a threat to him.

Plus he has one of the most beautiful paper dolls in the game!! If I played a 2-handed sword-wielding fighter or paladin I'd surely use it...simply too cool for words.
