[IMG] This is my second time playing, and I finished ALL the quests the first time. I'm "power gaming" with my level 19 Paladin from the last game leading the group, and I'm helplessly stuck in Winspear Hills at the damned Greater Wolfweres of all places! I've already killed Liches, vampires, and high-level wizards for crap's sake. I think this is a bug. I can stand there and whale on this wolfwere and it never dies. My critical hits do over 45 points of damage, but I only get it to Injured, and 5 seconds later, it is back to Uninjured. Even if his hits on me drain my HP, I don't remember having this trouble the 1st time around, and that was with level 10 and 11 characters. What am i doing wrong here?

Yeah, I've heard of this happening to people with those Greater Wolfweres. I don't know if it's a bug, or because you are of such a high level when you enter; but I didn't have any trouble with them. Apparently you didn't either the first time...

Yes, I had this problem too, they were almost invulerable. I solved it by laying a few traps with Yoshimo, and if you're lucky the werewolf dies instantly

Use aerea-spells like killcloud, stinking cloud, fireball, chaossphere, web and so on, preferably from the fog of war :D

I had the same problem my first time through being around 14th level because I did a lot of other quests first. I ended up finally getting through it by hitting it with several (3-4) lower resistance and pierce magic spell, followed by hold monster. Once the thing was held, whatever was making it regenerate so fast went away.

Thanks for replies. I prided myself the first time through on not laying traps or using Cloudkill for tough battles, but this is bullshit. These Wolfweres are fargin' invincible, so to hell with it. I'm cheating, and I'm damn proud. Time is running out - Heart of Winter, anyone!

Actually, Greater Werewolves and Wolfweres have hella-regeneration. How often are you hitting them? Consistently? Is there a gap between your strikes? You need alot of very quick damage like the aforementioned use of traps. I doubt this is a bug.
