[IMG] For those of you who have entered the UnderDark with the lovely Viconia...I have a question for you:
Is there any special benefit to having you in your party while adventuring in the UnderDark? I've managed to keep her in my party, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with her there.

Any quests? I do people just get mad because she's with you like on the surface?

I didn't notice any special benifits, she is lovely though ;) Don't let your rep get above 18 she will leave the party. No one is hostile to her in the underdark, non-Drow are too fearful of the Drow to say anything, and Drow are almost slightly less hateful to fellow Drow ;)

Thanks for the info! I've been struggling to keep the rep low! Very unpaladinly of me, I know, but I like having her in my party!

I think she's is going to rock when I get Crom Feyr assembled!

You're playing a Paladin and you have an evil character in your party? You do realize that a Paladin would never do this correct, regardless of the quest or journey involved.

Sigh. Game companies need to pull their socks up and create character flags.

"if Main_Character=Paladin" then any character who is evil alignment may not join.

This would at least force the player in hand to play a Paladin correctly and not just be playing him for their cool abilities or Cavalier Kit.

I suppose I can let you slide this one time Sir Belisarius but if you start posting about your Paladin using ranged weapons, watch yourself because I'll be on you in seconds! Hehehe :)

Oh and you have the honor of being my 1000th post.

    Syl...

[IMG] Congratulations on number 1000! I am honored...I've just been "role playing" that Belisarius in trying to convert her from the darkness...

Or how about the old proverb: "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

Maybe for penance I'll sheath Carsomyr, and just use a +1 dagger...So I can be "cleansed" by gloriously bloody up close combat!

Trust me. The drow will never know that she is in your party. That's all I'm saying unless you ask as it is a spoiler(somewhat).

I have to disagree with you on that, Syl. Take a look at Keldorn: He's a pretty tolerant and wise chap for a paladin. In real life, we could have been friends, even with my chaotic evil nature.

Plus, when I used to play P&P, we always kept the alignment of each player secret, so you don't actually "know" what each character's alignment was in the game.

I mean paladins and druids were kind of easy to figure out, but otherwise, without using detection magic, we judged them by their actions in the party.

So I don't think having evil characters in a mostly good party, or a party lead by a paladin for that matter. Any thoughts?

I never used Viconia in the underdark, but I noticed that on the top floor of the Drow tavern there is a group of Drow prisoners From Viconia's House. If Viconia is in the party when you encounter them is there a special reaction?

    Neapolis,

The reason why this is bad is because a paladin is meant to be lawfull good.
Killing someone just to lower reputation is Unlawfull and Bad and thus should suffer a greater rep loss than that.
Furthermore having an Evil character in your party is contrary to being a paladin who is suppose to fight Evil. ALL EVIL. Even if the Evil is a good, funny and interesting like Viconia, Korgan or Edwin.

It is like a Napoli fan supporting Lazio. It doesn't happen.

Remember the Gary Gygax's grid about alignments. It's a square cut in 9 equivalent squares where you can put all the alignments. Well, with this graphic representation, you can see that there exist an infinite number of Good, Paladin is true Lawful Good, like Solars, Devas..., but a Neutral Evil character is not true evil, this one maybe just a 'little' evil in comparison os someone neutral.

Alignments shouldn't be considered as extreme always. And I guess tolerance is one of the virtues of a Paladin, so they should be able to accept people that don't act exactly like them. Indeed, a character killing without any reason someone else, will be neutralized and put in jail, to be judged, by a Paladin, but not killed.

    ARGH...........!!!
Kyrn, u want to kill me? I love Napoli and I ´ll never be a supporte for Lazio, Juve or AC Milan, Napoli forever!!!
Ok u are right but I loved Edwin char since BG1, I think He is the most powerful Mage in the game, look the ohter mage, Nalia or Aerie they are not even close to Edwins´ power, maybe would be better if I start the game again with a fighter. But u are right !!
