What weapon proficiencies should I give my assassin? Note: assassins get up to 7 proficientcy points.

    No ranged weapons?

A poisoned bow or crossbow should make any of its arrows/quarrels poisonous. A good thing to have.

I already know the good stuff... wait a minute. 1 into: Katanas, Long swords, Scimitars, 1 weapon style, MAYBE: short bow, crossbow, short sword. That means I can practically use all the weapons available to the Thief!!

With a 7x backstab multiplier and poisoned weapons, assassins are deadly with pretty much anything. Short bow, katana, and dagger are definite musts, though.

I think there are at least five good daggers in Atkathla:
IIRC tere are two Daggers +2 to buy (one at a trader in the slums near the temple, forgot the other one), there is Neb´s dagger +2 or 3 (for evil only), the throwing dagger +2 at the one of the fights in the pubs in the bridge district, the stiletto of the Demarches (+2) in the planar sphere and the Pixie Prick in the planar prison.

Additionally there is the firetooth dagger in Ust Natha, an excellent weapon.
