[IMG] Hello again, this is your Dark Omega with another poll. iw as just wondering what is your favorite class, and why. It is interesting at times to know what different people like. Thank you for answering this if yo do, and if you don't, oh well, you will probably answer one of my polls in the future.

My favorite class is old-school. I prefer a classic fighter over anything else. They are good in melee, and with the book of many spells and the Neckalce of missiles they can really do some damage. Another good item for a fighter I think, is a summon idle. They can aid tem if they happen to get separated from the party. The best one for a fighter is the Efreeti Bottle because the efreeti can cast spells. This is my reply to my own question, strange eh? Peace.

I usually prefer Rangers or Monks. Most of my characters are a martial character, I dislike mages and magic users.

They are usually NG or CG, unless I play a monk, then its LG. :)

I don't really have a favourite class, but I do have some preferences. First, I liked the kensai...that was a while ago. Now I like the MC Ranger/Cleric and the Elven archer.

Well I must say that this is a question that can be anwsered many times ;)
I have my self changed favourites atleast thrice :D
First I loved the simplicity of a great tank, big, strong and dumb! Great combo!
After playing some more I started to appreciate the mages more, both sorcerers and regular. Only drawback is that lowlevel mages are boring to play, dont get fun until they are very high level
I had a brief fling with ranger/clerics and single class clerics but I got over it fast. I just can id myself with a devout priest. For now I am a thief player, preferable fighter/thief, plenty of skills either way. And who doesnt love backstabbing?

Only classes I have never really played are the barbarian, monk, bard and paladin. Only played dualed rangers too. I will only give a reason for not playing monk, no matter how powerful they become it just aint fun when you arent able to ecquip them with lots of nifty stuff ;) neither armour nor weapons is just a bore imo.

Favorite class would be the Barbarian. The increased speed is very nice, and the BarbarianRage ability provides a nice edge in battle. Too bad they can't be dualled though, I would love a Barbarian/Cleric. Ah well, that's what we've got 3rd Edition for.

    Calm down, 'dudes' :p

As for the question, I don't really have favorites, anything but a monk (yuck) is good.

[IMG] Kensai  or a mage when i want to blow stuff up. That was before i went back and played BG1 and re-discovered the fun of the straight fighter, charging in and cutting my enemies up [while not having to run away every couple of strokes to heal - the bane of the kensai] and being able to wear shiny armour

    Illusionist/Thieves...win every time.

Also, they need no Hide In Shadows or Open Locks or Move Silently or Detect Illusion abilities...so you can really max out on Find Traps, Pick Pocket and Set traps!

    Indeed not Faragorn.
When installed, ToB allows you to play through SoA as a Wild Mage. Therefore they are a 'Favourite Class in SoA'.

    Ranger or multiclass Fighter/Thief.

  18. Indeed not Gopher,
Wild mages are part of TOB and therefore are not allowed to be mentioned in SOA Forum, even if you are playing through SOA
    :p:p;)

[IMG] Don't play rude with me here.
ToB material regardless which area in the game you're playing is not to be posted in this forum.
I will leave this now as it is, people already know of wild mages because of posts like these.

In the meantime check main Forums page and reread what does the description for this forum say and what does description for ToB forum say.
