    The Shaman, I'd have thought it'd be the woman watching you type from over your shoulder.

    @ Iku-Turso

    Weren't you speaking of your valuation of women as they relate to society as you see it?

    No. If I'd there'd be no other person seeing this way the world would be a much unhappier place. I might take it bit further than them, but certain things on development projects might still make you wonder.

    I'm just interested why is it that when you go helping people some things work better than others. Why is it that some people accept help better. Why some people grab the reaching hand, pull themselves up and make something out of their lives. I'm interested why it seems that of all the people who need help it is women that manage to pull it through better than men when help is given to them.

    I'm still for equality of both genders, but I thought I'd add that if you wanted to look at it from the genetic angle, the x chromosome contains more genetic information then the y chromosome.

    Oh and Shadow Assassin, if you guys didn't screw the lids on that tightly then we wouldn't have 'problems' unscrewing them. :p ;)

    I can’t help thinking about the book Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice when reading this topic. In that book, an ancient Egyptian vampire queen called Akasha wants to get rid of all men (saving a few for breeding purposes) since they are the source of all evil in the world.
    Also, a Swedish politician has once suggested that men should pay additional taxes because they cause so much misery that cost the society money. I thought that was a very scary idea. Doesn’t that give men the right to beat up their wives/girlfriends or vandalize something random? After all, they have paid to do so.
    I think we better stick with the equality thing. That’s the system that will upset people the least.

    shadow lurker, we live in the times of the G W Bush administration. So none of that logic crap allowed. Besides, we don't screw it on the first time, a machine does that. That's the most common time women ask for it to be unscrewed.

    Men are not better than women and women are not better than men. I believe that everyone should have equal rights but I do not believe that everyone is equal. People (men or women) differ in abilities. I can't sing but unless the jar lid is too big for my small hands I can get it off. :p

    @Shadow Assassin
    I don't need someone to help me unscrew it the first time. Then again I actually eat *food* and have some tiny amount of strength unlike some people who starve themselves for "some reason"... :rolleyes:
    I only ever need help if my brother screws it on too tight. :p
    Oh, and I live in Australia. :p

    I know that I personally are letting my apartment detoriate into a cesspool, my personal hygiene and style could be better and I eat all the wrong things when I am alone.

    I dnot think it is specifically due to lack of a woman but more due to lack of anyone except myself to do those things for. I dont care if my floor is dusty or what colour my drapes are nor am I too fuzzed about what I wear as long it dont smell too bad. The only reason for me to ever do otherwise would be for the benefit of someone else. Whether that would be a male roommate or a girlfriend I dotn really think matter much. I just think in general that men dont care very much about such things however I also know many many relationships where it is the man who keeps order and the woman that is a pig.

    I think we humans care more what other think about us than we like to admit so when things only affects ourselves we can be extremely lazy but when we are up for study we sharpen up.
